About Fiji
Approximately 6,000 miles southwest of the United States lies a chain of islands known throughout the world as home to "The Friendliest People on the Face of the Earth." Once these wonderful people touch you with their spirit, you will never be the same. Their fire walking will have you dumbfounded. Fiji is an archipelago of approximately 350 islands with a population of approximately 750,000.
The climate is ideal. Temperatures range from a low of 72-74 F in the winter (June, July and August) to a high of 86-88 F in the summer (December, January and February).
The Fiji Islands is home to some of the finest diving and surfing in the world. Travelers from throughout the world have long enjoyed the pristine waters of the South Pacific.
Fiji's population is a mixture of indigenous people as well as Indo-Fijians who arrived during the British rule in the mid 19th century.
The main industry is tourism and since the country survives and thrives on the willingness of tourists to come in ever increasing numbers, one is assured of an absolutely fantastic visit.
