The Loloma Foundation’s mission is to provide sustainable medical, dental and infrastructure support to rural communities in the South Pacific who would otherwise have no access to basic healthcare.
The Loloma Foundation is a California-based 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, established in 2001. The board members consist of six medical, dental and business professionals who share a common goal of improving the lives and health of the people of the South Pacific.
WAYS WE HELP
SURGICAL TEAMS
Five surgical rotations per year including General Surgery, ENT Surgery, Hand Surgery, OB/GYN Surgery.
Loloma teams have performed literally thousands of major and minor surgeries since 2001.
Partner with local medical professionals and institutions to share knowledge.
Waiyevo Hospital, Taveuni, is a fully functioning, electrified (daylight hours only) 40 bed inpatient hospital with two resident physicians who live on site. There are childrens, mens, womens and obstetrics wards on site with resident nurses. A very nice operating theater is on site together with a labor and delivery room.

RURAL MEDICAL CLINICS
Three rural medical/dental/eye teams are scheduled each year. Two to Fiji and one to the Solomon Islands.
Teams travel by boat to rural villages and nursing stations to provide care to a population that has little or no access medical services.
Screening is done for surgery teams and surgeries scheduled and arranged.
Since 2001 Loloma teams visited and served in excess of 1,500 villages in remote areas of Fiji, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.
SPECIAL PROJECTS
Throughout the years Loloma has identified and addressed specific needs in the communities we serve.
Approximately US$1.5 million in medical supplies shipped annually.
Woman's Health: Education, reusable sanitary supplies, PAP smears and follow up.
Prosthodontics lab under construction at Waiyevo Hospital on Taveuni Island.
Renovating and painting Waiyevo Hospital.
Cyclone emergency relief.
Over 4,000 primary school backpacks and supplies.
Transporting and housing surgical patients from remote island locations.
